The End Room
The End room is through the pool hall and kitchen In this room, there are soft chairs and a large drywipe whiteboard used for whiteboard games like Treasure Island, Shapes and Who Can Draw the Best? There is also a large table, ideal for doing big art projects or games where we all have to be together. This room will also be updated to accommodate continuous provision for little group, as you can see in the photos, there are lots of toys for the children to access, such as lego, duplo, train tracks and dinosaurs. The bookcase is always fully stocked and has a range of stories and information books.
Kitchen
The Kitchen is a room connected to the End Room. In this room, Big Group and Middle Group have snack time, we also sometimes watch TV in there, but only at snack, never in session. In this room, we have 6 tables with four seats on each. This room is ideal for doing individual drawings or working in small groups.
Food Kitchen
We have a full working kitchen for the children to use under adult supervision. In here we can bake and cook for sessions. So far, we have made loads of different things, including cookies, pizzas, buns, chocolate apples and crispy cakes.
Hall
The hall is a large games hall, including two height adjustable basketball nets. In here, we can play lots of running games, football, parachute games and anything else where we need a large space. We also have three large benches and a whole room full of balls, bats and other sport equipment.
Outside Areas
We are very lucky at Kids' Club to have so much space to use outside. On the back, out from the hall, there is a large playground with goal posts at either end. Ideal for playing football, or doing what kids love to do; run around like mad!
We have a large field next to the playground which has trees all around the sides; perfect for playing hide and seek, camouflage, and making dens. Obviously, this is weather permitting.
From the gym to the right we also have access to the park next door off of Blade Street, this means we can take the children to the park without going on any roads. The park is obviously something that the children absolutely love.
Pool Hall
The Pool hall is the center of the building. This is where staff will direct you to where your child is in session, or during free play periods, children are able to play, pool, table football and table tennis.
Big Group Room
The Big Group room is up behind the stage. This area is used only by Big Group so that they can have projects that are bigger and more complex that they can leave out to finish over the period of how ever long it takes. There is also a small library up there with books that are for their age group.
The walls are for them to decorate with their art, and so it fills up as the weeks go by.
